FAITH
FALSE SIGNS
Faith
is by believing in the Word and not by the signs. Jesus rebuked
Thomas for wanting to see the signs of His hand, but He congratulated
those who see by faith without having to see the signs. Jesus also
said that the signs will accompany all His servants. He did not say
to chase after signs but stated that these signs are following those
who carry the truth.
We
cannot believe that all miracles come from God. James and Jambres
servants of Satan operated great signs. 2 Timothy 3:8 Now as
Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the
truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. and
Exodus 7:10 -12 And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and
they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod
before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a
serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the
sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner
with their enchantments. For they cast down every man his rod,
and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
Jesus
warned that in the end times, false prophets will do more signs than
the chosen ones. The Word says that at the end of time those who
would stand out in the signs are the false prophets, not the chosen
ones, Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and
false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch
that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
