 DRESSING THAT PLEASES AND OFFENDS GOD

Many people want to serve God, but in their own way, and in the way that men teach, the way they think is correct, but they don't want to know God's opinion. They don't want to learn from God. When you ask the Lord He will take you to His Holy Word and you will find answers that will satisfy all your doubts, and your heart will rest in peace, and you will have the assurance to be walking in the will of God.

The Spirit convicts us of sin, justice, and judgment. You need to have the Holy Spirit of God in your life for you to understand the things of heaven. The Church is to behave differently from the world. There is no agreement between the heavenly kingdom and the kingdom of darkness.

The world may say there is something wrong with us. But when the world called us names, glory to God, we are on the right path. The world is multicultural. The Church also has its culture, and it is the culture of the celestial world. We are different from the world because we have this citizenship and culture of heaven of people walking towards heaven.

Everything must be done in order and when going to the service we have to dress correctly in order to stand before God with the correct adornment. God likes the outside to reflect the interior. In principle, our exterior would reflect what is on our inside.

Before leaving home, my sisters, look at yourself in the mirror and check to make sure your dressing is in order and decent. When we talk about this subject of outward adornment women are the focal point.

In truth, women are special. God made women with peculiarities. Women have grace. She understands the lifestyle and mannerisms of women of God.

Women has charm, we are graciousness. Women have natural abilities and characteristics given by God. Women have the power to enchant, captivate, and conquer men. Women can dominate, attract, and get men to go crazy. The woman is a mystery to the man. Yes, the woman is a gift from God to man. She was given to be a helper.

But all the qualities and powers of women are for us in relation to our husbands, not for the strangers. We must use our grace or charm only for our husbands and not disturb other men’s imagination. I'm talking about you doing your part and your responsibility in giving yourself self-respect and understanding.

Women are also more fragile. We can overcome ourselves in many areas, but we are fragile. Well, let's just note that the woman already has her natural attractions. Since a woman’s attraction, charm and captivation are natural, women should dress in a way that men would not be captivated by their appearance and outfit. This is what's supposed to happen in the assemblies of God so that men can attend the service without something else in my mind.

Now I'm going to tell you what God told me about a women's outfit. When He set me aside for the ministry and He gave me directions, God told me that the clothes that we wear must be discreet and simple. The Lord said that our outfit must never cling tightly on our body and it should not be short.

Moreover, we must be careful with thin fabrics and blouses. If they are revealing the nipples, we must avoid them. Christian ladies when you have big nipples that clearly protrude through the blouse despite wearing brassieres, wear a t-shirt underneath the blouse in order to cover everything. We must be careful and make sure that no part of the breasts is exposed. When we dress to go out and attend a service, let us not use clothes that show any cleavage of our breasts. 

The Lord also said He is not pleased that we show our armpits in public and that our blouses should have long sleeves. In preference, they should reach our elbows if we can. I know that many sisters cannot afford to buy clothes that are really appropriate. If you are in need and your heart desires to invest in decent clothes as the will of God requires, the Lord will provide for you to walk in holiness.

This is what God told me about skirts. The skirt should always be covering and going beyond the knee without people having the possibility to see our thighs. Personally, I prefer skirts of thick fabric that does not reveal the mark of my intimate parts. The skirt has to reach below the knee because when you sit the skirt tends to rise. If you decide to wear a skirt of thin fabric you must use a thin skirt underneath so that no one sees your intimate mark, line, and shape.

As a lady you might think that these mark lines and shapes are nothing but men get excited and aroused when it comes to the panties lines of women and sisters. I know it seems a little unfair that we have to worry about attention and awareness.

But this is exactly what the Apostle Paul taught us when he said we have to be aware of our brothers' conscience. We are responsible for that too. So be careful if you have the Holy Spirit of God.

Look carefully on the mirror before leaving home. I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.

Another very good tip is this. If you are someone who is overweight, please wear clothes of dark color for they hide the marks of your underwear, as well as hide your shape and line. These are things that God told me about dresses. Don't go with a dress that shows the body like the waist and the hip. In the gathering of the saints, remember that nothing should draw more attention than the Word. Will you get people who went to Church to hear the Word of God see how much you are in shape?

In the assemblies of God you have to disappear so that God can appear. There are outfits that cling tightly to the body like a cylinder on the skin showing the naked contours.

Let us also be careful of makeup and adornments. You must not highlight your beauty and femininity in the Church for this is not the occasion for you to prove how beautiful you are.

Imagine the following situation. A sister who is going to preach wears a short outfit, oozing charm and sensuality. For the love of God which man will pay attention to the Word she preaches? That outfit will only arouse the desire of the flesh of men and jealousy from the wives.

Thus, the wife who brought her husband to Church, the woman that has already fought to convince her husband to attend a service believing with all her heart that God will convert the man and what happens in the service is that the husband become wicked full of fleshly desire because of sensual dressing and if the wife complains, the man will say, “It was you who wanted me to come.”

Imagine my God the tribulation you can cause in the lives of others because of your dressing. You become a curse in the lives of others.

Dear women of God, the Lord didn't call us to worldly dressing and fashion. We cannot prevent certain men from thinking about immoral thoughts. But we can do our part mostly by not letting the spirit of seduction use us. The demon knows what God gave us to do evil.

I remember going to a service where at the time of the preaching and the service, they called a sister to do the praise. When she got up and went to the altar to receive the microphone there was a stir. The brothers were looking at each other and at the same time, everyone was looking at her because she was beautiful. Her beauty already attracted all the eyes of men that came to worship.

She had enhanced her beauty with vanity. She had put on clothes that clung tightly to her body. She was dressed in a blouse and a very long skirt that also clung tightly to the body. She had long hair that was very feminine and very beautiful. But she wore an outfit that drew the attention of everyone.

As a result no one paid attention to the worship service. Instead of glorifying the Lord, they fixed their eyes on the woman with silent admiration. The sister had long and beautiful flowing hair and she has a lot of charm especially when smiling.

And all the married women were trembling to look at this sister and looking at their husbands on their side. And what happened is that there was a distraction. As people lost concentration, God was no more on people’s minds. It was the sister who shone and she was the attention. It was she who called the attention for she was the sensation of that moment.

The spirit inside the Church that day was wrong. We make sure that we are more discreet when we go to the house of God, for God is the One to get all the glory. We have to be focused on the Lord at the time of worship. 

We live in a world that lies in the power of the evil one where people who do what is right are persecuted and humiliated. Yes, if you seek to do what is right in this world, you will be persecuted and humiliated.

Many people want to accuse us of legalism and fanaticism. Yes, those who seek virtue and value for morality and honesty are extremists and fanatics. They are accused of using merit and works instead of faith.

Many accuse us of wishing to win the kingdom of God in by wearing a religious outfit. They accuse us of bargaining with God. They said we dress holy to win the kingdom of God. No, it's not about that.

Honest women with sincere and pure heart abandon vanities to serve God not because they want to win a religious favor. This is because they have already won favor from the Lord Jesus Christ. And they want to be holy because they are already saved by the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.

Yes, we have the awareness that what saves is Christ's sacrifice on the cross for us, not our works. We abandon the vanities for we are a new creation and we have passed through the new birth.

We are new creatures, the old things have passed and we have a new life in the Spirit. Thus we abandoned vanities out of gratitude for what Jesus did for us. We are the abode of the Spirit of Christ that is holy, and we want this temple to be always clean inside and out.

Also note that for those born of water and the Holy Spirit abandoning vanities is not an imposition. It is something natural. Nobody commands and imposes us but we do it as a sacrifice. It is naturally done with pleasure and love.

It is a holy commandment, given directly from God that we accept by faith and we gladly obey. We do it with love and suffer the prejudice of those who do not understand the spiritual state of someone born from above. We know we only aim for the heavens.

The world accuses Christians saying that they dress differently. 

When you dress well, such people say your heart is defiled. You have a sore tongue and your thoughts are rotten. Why are you wearing clothes to hide your rotten interior? You're gossipy. You are a whitewashed sepulcher. You are a Pharisee, the hypocrite, a false prophet. 

That's what they're called us. Yet the women of the world have the right to walk naked with a painted face full of vanity having a behavior of debauchery before men to win them.

They are immoral and everyone thinks it's normal. All the world applauds them. But when women of God want to be decent, they are holy to me because their spirits are already transformed by God. These women are accused.

Unfortunately the world is like that. But I say the new birth operates inside out. We are not saying that a woman who is very well dressed is good inside, but she is often well dressed because she is holy inside. Yes, exterior holiness still reflects what's inside of us. So be careful you can be accursing a saint of God.

We are not perfect but we are in this fight for holiness because the Bible says in Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

So there are saints and even if they are religious, Jesus did not condemn religion.

See the case of Nathaniel in John 1:47. Nathaniel is Jewish and Jesus looked at him and said he is a Jew, someone in whom there is no deception. That is to say, Jesus looked inside of his religious practice in serving God. He obeys all the precepts of his religion and all commandments to please God.

Jesus thought he was not hypocritical, he is not a whitewashed sepulcher though he dresses like a Jew and behaves like a just man. Jesus doesn't condemn religion, He condemns hypocrisy. So many are wanting to please and reach God for this and other things. I believe that we must have vigilance and I believe in everything God guided me.

1 Peter 1:16-19 Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy. 17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: 18 For as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
