Why exactly were angelic beings created?

If you read Revelation 19:10, there the apostle John the Divine was so much moved by whatever the angel of God revealed to him and he was about to fall at his feet and worship him, then he said, "Don't do that. I am only a servant just like you. I am a servant."

Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

If you read Psalm 103:20, the Bible says the angels of God are the servants of the Most High God.

Psalm 103:20 Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!

Psalm 104:4 Who maketh His angels spirits; His ministers a flaming fire.

If you read Hebrews 1: 7 and 14, both these verses tell us very clearly what is the real motive for which God created them.

Heb 1:7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.

Heb 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

So they are ministers to God, ministers to those who are going to inherit salvation and eternal life, to you and me and also to the Almighty God.

If you read Psalm 18:10 the Bible says He was being carried by His cherub. That means carried by his angels.

Psa 18:10 And He rode upon a cherub and did fly: yea, He did fly upon the wings of the wind.

If you read the Bible in Exodus 25:20 and also in the book of Ezekiel, you read over there how the Almighty God kept these angels of God to cover and overshadow His throne.

Exo 25:20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

So it's a very interesting thing the day God decided to call creation into existence. If you read John 5:26 God has life within Himself.

John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself.

He said, "I am the first, I am the last."

Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me, there is no God.

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

We do not know when He created the angels but they were created so that they can minister to Him. They are ministers of the Almighty God and they ministered to you all. That's the greatest thing not only to God but those who have been adopted by God as His own children.

The Bible says in John 1:12 and Galatians 4:4-7 and in Romans 8:15, and Ephesians 1:5, you read over there how we have the spirit of adoption. God adopts us to become His children and they become the servants not only to the Master but also those who belong to the Master, even the smallest thing they come and minister to you.

John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.

Gal 4:4-7 But when the fulness of the time has come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Gal 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.

I still remember two major events when the angels of God came to help me. As I have been telling, again and again, I am a man who works 18 hours a day for God. Even today as a full-time minister, I do that. That time when I was working in the bank, I also was doing that.

So one day I went to the bank, worked very hard and then I had to go and pray for so many people in need and desperate need. I came back home probably around midnight at twelve o'clock so tired. I had something to eat and I allowed my wife and my little son Paul to go to sleep. That time I was not so rich and could not afford any luxurious things. We had only very ordinary bed. And as I was lying on the bed, I had great chest pain, unbearable pain. It is not the heart attack but I knew that because of the exhaustion I had so much pain and I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to wake up my poor wife who went to sleep just then.

Lying down there on my bed I cried, "Lord, for Your sake only I've been working all this evening and if I get a pain, Lord what shall I do? Please help me."

And the Holy Spirit came and then opened my eyes. I saw an angel of God descending from heaven. He came sat by my side and I heard something like harp, an instrument which I had never seen. It was an instrument with many strings probably 20 or 30 strings. Then he began to sing with the help of this harp. It was so melodious, so beautiful, so enchanting.

He began to sing, "2,000 years ago in the land of Palestine there appeared God, the God who was not controlled by time, came into this world as a person controlled by time and He lived to the age of 33..." and so on. Whoa, he sang the life story of Jesus

As I was listening and listening and listening, I went to sleep and my chest pain disappeared. It is with this theme and music in mind we compose that song "Palestina" (in Tamil). I sang and taught my son and he sang and we recorded the song. It's so amazing. The angels come and play this wonderful music. In heaven also you see some of them playing in marvelous instruments and so on.

On another occasion which I remember is when I was in real mental agony. Like that, I came back one day very late and my wife asked me a simple question, "Do you know what day is tomorrow?" I said, "It's Sunday." "Tomorrow is Sunday but tomorrow is Easter day and every other child who will come to the church will wear a new dress but we don't have a new dress for our only one child." Oh, I felt so miserable. Well, at first I thought I will try to catch hold of some of my friends, borrow some money and buy some clothes for my little son. At least that was a time when God allowed me to go through the part of financial problems.

The Bible says in Job 23:10 But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

If God is going to use a person, if God is going to give a person a great ministry, if God is going to entrust a man with public money, God will, first of all, put him to test, just put him into trial and see how he responds.

So nearly six years I went through poverty though I was working in the bank, though I was receiving a decent salary yet this salary will come exactly for three weeks. The fourth week will be a week of agony. We were always asking the establishment clerk, "Hey, when are you going to pay this month's salary?" It was mysterious somehow the expenses will come and you won't have money and this was the fourth week.

I didn't know what to do but I felt very miserable. "Lord, if I don't have a new dress, if my wife doesn't have a new dress, it doesn't matter but I have neglected to buy something for my own little son. Only one son You have given and I've not cared for him."

I very much felt the pain in my heart and I wept bitterly. Again, I asked my wife to go to sleep. I said I'll do something tomorrow and I knelt down. We had one bed. My son and wife will sleep on the floor on a mat and I used to sleep on the bed. I knelt down and literally cried and then suddenly I felt someone was standing by my side and I saw a mighty angel of God with both the wings up.

He said, "Get up, go and open your box." I told him, "I know what that box contains. It contains only some old clothes." He said, "That does not matter. You come with me." So I went to the other room and then it is opened. That box was full of used clothes, clothes with no value, even if we give them to someone they will not accept it. So much were worn out and torn.

I looked at him, "I told you." He said, "Take the first layer away." I took the first layer away. And lo and behold, there were beautiful brand-new currency notes. I was thrilled. He said, "Take it. Use it. Have a nice Easter." And he disappeared.

Oh my God. I looked around. I wanted to be very sure that it is not a dream but I was so much taken by that. I looked up the electric light was burning. I'd only switched on that light and I saw my wife sleeping. I woke her up. I asked her, "Did you keep any money in this box?" She said, "No, you never gave me any money to keep like that." I told her the story. Oh, we were thrilled. The next day early morning we went out purchased not just one little trouser and shirt for my son but purchased so many things and we had the best Easter.

Oh, I can never forget. The angels of God are there to minister to us. This we should never forget. Be of good cheer, they're always around you. That is why the Lord Jesus said in John 1:51, "From now on, you will see the angels of God ascending and descending, taking away your prayer requests, bringing down the answers from God."

John 1:51 And He saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

What an amazing truth this is, to know that we are not alone, we are never alone, we have angels commanded from God with a mission to protect us and be with us, comfort us and minister unto us.

Are the angels that have been actively bringing miracles and enabling the saints in the Old Testament continue to do so in the New Testament?

Yes if you read the Acts 5:19-20 the apostles were arrested and the king wanted to kill them but the angel of God came and their chains just fell like that and said, "Come." They walked out and there was great confusion and then they found out that both these people were released despite the guards still outside the prison.

Act 5:19-20 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

In Acts of the Apostles 10:3-6, you read about a centurion called Cornelius, the man who is given up to prayer and giving out alms to the poor and the Bible says one day an angel of God appeared and talked to him, "Please call Simon Peter. He will tell you what point to do."

Act 10:3-6 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

In Acts 8:26-29 you read about Philip the Evangelist in a desert. The angel of the Lord took him to the desert to minister to a minister of another country but then the Spirit said, "Go and join the chariot."

Act 8:26-29 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure and had come to Jerusalem for to worship, was returning and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.

Again if you read Acts 27:18-24 when Paul was alone in the ship, everyone else not knowing who is Christ and there was a crisis in the ship in which he was sailing was about to sink. He said the angel of God appeared and told him, "Paul, don't worry, nothing will happen because you are here, God is going to save everybody in this ship."

Act 27:18-24 And we being exceedingly tossed with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship; And the third day we cast out with our own hands the tackling of the ship. And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away. But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss. And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

By so many miracles, He was guiding the apostles of God.

I always remember one particular incident that happened in Guntur in South India. I went to this small church one day and after the meeting, I was praying for the people and a lady brought a girl. It was a very disturbing sight to see this girl. From head to foot her whole body was full of blisters. It was a very agonizing sight. The mother told me the story. She said, "One day my daughter had a very high fever so I took her to a doctor and the doctor gave me some pills to bring down the fever. But he never realized that she was having chickenpox or smallpox coming up. He could not identify it and the medicines acted in the other way. The whole body was full of blisters. We tried all over the world and finally, the doctors in London said, 'Sorry, madam, nothing can be done. She will have to learn to live with these blisters. So I didn't know what to do. Sir, she's only one daughter I have. She is nine years old and it's an abominable sight for others and we cry every day. Please help us."

As I was about to pray, suddenly an angel of God appeared. He said, "Ask her husband to bring a bottle of oil tomorrow. Bless the oil and give it to him. When they apply this oil on these blisters, it will disappear."

So I asked her, "Where is your husband?" She said, "He doesn't believe in all these things. He's standing outside the church."

So I said, "Tell him to bring the oil and I'll pray and give it to you. When you apply, she'll be alright."

The next day he came and he had an amazing story. He said, "Sir, I never believed in any of these things, supernatural things and I was watching you praying for the people and when you laid your hands upon a particular girl, an illiterate girl, a girl who is working in a tobacco company. Her sari was torn, she was so poor but when you laid your hands upon her she began to break forth in another heavenly language and she began to praise God and nobody could control her. Do you know, Sir, what she spoke?"

I said, "I do not know."

He said, "Sir, she spoke beautiful Latin praising God. I was in Italy. I did a little bit of Latin. Oh, it was amazing and I'm convinced that God is alive and it is God who spoke through that girl and that message was only for me."

1 Cor 14:24-25 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all. And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest, and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

Anyway, I asked God to bless the oil and gave it to them. Years past I had never had an occasion to meet them. After 16 full years, I met them as a family in another city and I saw this girl, fully grown up, ready to be married, so wonderful to look at and I asked him, "What happened to those blisters?"

He said, "When you blessed that oil and gave us, we very faithfully applied that oil and all the blisters went away in a remarkable way. I had resigned my job, my wife has resigned her job. As a family today we are serving God."

Thank God for the mighty angel who came and gave me the counsel of God that I should anoint the oil and pray. Secondly to call her husband. Yes, he knew the problem is with the husband. So through this incident, he was made a believer and the entire family have started working for God. They are in a city called Hyderabad.

The counsel of an angel can make an eternal difference in the lives of people by bringing them to Christ. Whenever God calls someone, do the Angels have a part in taking this calling of God and delivering it to the people?

When God places a calling upon someone's lives, it is like this. You see, for example, this Gideon and Joshua, all these people had a visitation from an angel of God and the angel of God told Gideon, "God is with you. Go and He is going to come."

Jdg 6:11-16 And there came an angel of the LORD and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valor. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all His miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD hath forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house. And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.

So there are certain times when God really sends a holy angel to talk to them but the greatest danger here, is as far as your calling is concerned, if you read the call of Moses, the call of Jeremiah, the call of Paul, it's a direct call. God called them very definitely and He confirmed it again and again and again so that there will be no doubt.

So sometimes as I have been always telling, you have a spirit of man within you in Proverbs 18:14, Proverbs 20:27 your spirit of man.

Proverbs 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity, but a wounded spirit who can bear?

Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

So many times you imagine that the angel of God has come. So I will tell you a very funny thing. When I was a young fellow I used to listen to stories of the devil, ghost stories. As I was reared up in the village, so every night we'll all gather around the grandmothers and they will tell us, "Oh the devil came and it happened like this."

So I thought they were real. So one evening, I went to my friend's house and I took a look inside. Unfortunately, nobody was in the house but I saw a head moving round and round. Yes, I was horrified so I ran and told all my friends, "There's a devil in that in that house."

So they said, "We'll all come and help you." They picked up all the rods possible, iron rods and this rod and that rod. "We will beat it up today."

We went and I showed them, "Look at that head." "Yes," they said, "We will today break it open." When we went in, lo and behold, it was the servant-maid grinding the rice flour and she was turning her head round and round. I could see this head from one side, not knowing it was the servant maid's head.

So many people go by imagination, saying, "An angel of God came," and many will say, "Jesus came and spoke..." People get all kinds of imagination.

So it is very difficult to believe people unless as I said when the angel of God comes, all the whole room is filled with a mighty Spirit of God, rather the presence of God, the anointing of God and you become a totally different person. Especially before I go for the evening meeting to preach.

Normally from the morning, I pray. I don't believe in going and blabbering something at the last minute, saying, "God told me that..." I don't believe that. I believe in solid preparation. For one full week, I fast and pray and prepare. Then the whole day I am in prayer. If anybody comes in and disturbs me even for something genuine, I cry.

Then most of the time the Holy Spirit comes but sometimes the angel of God comes and brings the anointing of God and you are not able to bear that. Then you know that you have seen the angel of God and the anointing comes upon you and the joy of the Lord comes and fills you and amazing boldness comes on you. Then you know that it is the voice of God sent through the angel.

Otherwise, the greatest danger is to imagine that there is an angel when there is no accompaniment of the anointing, the joy and the boldness of the Lord and also the physical appearance of the angel here. Otherwise, it's possible only to imagine something without all this.

As you read in 2nd Corinthians 11:14, And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

So these things are very risky. I won't take a risk.

Has there been any situations where the devil was masquerading as an angel of light?

I will come to that now. I'll come to what the devil can do. Now if you read the Bible in Isaiah 14:12-17 and Ezekiel 28:12-19, if you read these two portions both these portions talk about the fallen angel called Lucifer.

Isa 14:12-17 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms. That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Eze 28:12-19 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise, they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

And if you read Revelation 12: 9-10 the devil is called "that old serpent."

Rev 12:9-10 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Yes, Satan and the devil is also from the beginning. The day God made the angels, Lucifer was one of the Archangels. That's why the Bible says in Ezekiel 28:14 and 15 he was made to cover the throne of God and he was a person of extraordinary beauty filled with extraordinary heavenly wisdom, all the time dwelling in the marvelous light into which no man can enter the great light

Eze 28:14-15 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Now the Bible says in Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

What is that iniquity? 1st Timothy 3:6 says "Pride."

1 Timothy 3:6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he falls into the condemnation of the devil.

Lucifer said, "Why not I climb into the throne of God? Why not I sit like God?"

So the moment that the pride came the Bible says God pushed him aside. Not only pushed him aside, in Jude 6 and 2nd Peter 2:4 the Bible says, God, bound him and all the other angels who sided with him and who fell with him. He bound them with chains of darkness and eternal chains of darkness, nobody can break the chains except the eternal God.

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.

One day when the Lord Jesus Christ took me to heaven and after spending a lot of time with me, He called an angel of God and He said, "On the way back home, show him hell."

So the angel of God said, "Come." So we went to another place. On the way back home, exactly as heaven is a great planet, I saw another planet not so big but there it was a separate place and as I entered, the angel has so much mighty power, the moment he went, every door was open and nobody knew why the door was opening. He just took me in.

First of all, he took me straight to the throne of Satan. Till then, I used to imagine that Satan will be a horrible monster and he'll be horrible to look at. His two hands and his face will be gruff and so on but when I saw him I was thunderstruck that his beauty is majestic.

Exactly as the throne of Jesus Christ is in heaven so also he has a beautiful throne exactly. And exactly as there are cherubim and seraphim and mighty angels of God, he has a replica of the whole hierarchy of angels and I mean senior angel advisors talking and so on.

But one thing struck me when you see heaven, you see light everywhere, from dim light to bright light to dazzling light. As you go higher and higher, you see the dazzling light everywhere. Even there the place where you first enter heaven is full of light. It has nothing to do with darkness at all.

But here in hell, you see all the time the evening dusk, the setting sun, that all the time it's there. It is dull, neither bright nor dark. It is very disgusting, very disgusting and God has said, "Bind this fellow with chains of darkness. Wherever he may go, his chains follow him. The Devil cannot shut them away. You see his face full of sadness, no joy. I looked at the faces of the angels around him who are supposed to be his advisors, they are full of sadness.

The angel said to me, "Come near and listen to what they speak."

As I was listening, they were not planning about taking over the little fellow, catching hold of one fellow here and that lady there. No, they were planning to take over kingdoms and every country has some very wicked people, very independent people who will not listen to anyone but who will have tremendous worldly wisdom and authority and a silver tongue and they were saying, "Oh, in such a country we have these fellows. These fellows we can easily catch and through them, we can take that nation."

Amazing. Then as they were discussing how to take all nations and how they were fully aware of the evil people, the wicked people. In between, they mentioned the names of some mighty servants of God, servants of God who are being used mightily. That was the only time I saw Satan smiling, "Is it so-and-so? Don't be worried about him. He has this weakness. Strike him dead, he's finished."

I was horrified when he mentioned about certain people and names. I was horrified. It happened exactly so.

So that was the time I knew that exactly as the Lord Jesus Christ is watching us from heaven, the devil also is watching us. He is not worried about the sinful people but those who are being marvelously used by God, those on whom the mighty anointing of God rest, he carefully watches them. He knows which temptation that man will fall, in which temptation that woman will fall, they know.

So their target is not all the time the ordinary man. Well, that really horrified me and I remembered the words of Saint Paul in Acts 24:16, And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.

Again who can guard us, only He can guard us. That is why the Bible says in Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.

Be filled with the Spirit continuously. When the Holy Spirit is in you the Bible says in Isaiah 59: 19 When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

And in 1st John 4:4 greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

But we must be sure that He is there in us. We cannot grieve Him. That's the greatest mistake. That's why the Bible says in Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Unfortunately Judges 16:20 and again in 1st Sam 16:14 how the Holy Spirit was grieved by Saul and grieved by Samson and pushed away.

Jdg 16:20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

1 Sam 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Oh, that should never happen. So that day I learned a lesson that I am NOT alone in this world. Dhinakaran, the more he is used by God the more he will be watched by the devil - where he will slip, where he will fall, here can I catch him? That is the fact.

Then the angel said, "Come along." Then I went and I was horrified to find millions and millions and millions of evil spirits, not just one million. They are not human spirits but are demonic angels.

If you read Revelation 5:11, And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.

In the presence of God, there are ten thousand times ten thousand angels of God.

Here in the same way when Satan fell here, a portion of the angelic forces also fell with him and they are there.

So apart from this, if you read Psalms 55:23, But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in thee.

And of course in so many other places, a man who really shed the blood, the innocent blood and so on, sometimes God says, "Cut his life off. Cut his life." Supposed a man was to live to the age of 80, probably at the age of 40, that man would have died

If you read Psalm 7:11, it says God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

He is angry with the wicked every day.

That is why if you read Matthew 12:43 and 44, When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

Some demonic powers are being thrown out and come back because they had no place to go.

During these 40 years, they roam about until the day appointed by God. They are neither in heaven nor in hell. They can't go anywhere else.

What do they do roaming about? They join the forces of evil because they can't go anywhere else. They join these evil forces and try to do as much harm as possible to the living people especially the children of God.

These spirits that are roaming neither in hell or in heaven are causing a demonic problem in people here.

Black magic and witchcraft come from the demonic realm that I will tell you later. But these spirits also join them. For example near Coimbatore, in one home one boy gave his heart to the Lord and he became very pious and so on but his father though he was a Christian, he was a very worldly man and his life was pursuing money, money, money.

This boy used to come and attend our meetings. One day while we were going to some place to some prayer meeting, he came next to me. He was a very wonderful boy. Suddenly I turned and told him, "Brother, God is going to use you mightily but be very careful with your life. Nothing should separate you from God. You should never do anything in haste."

I never knew why I said that. Now within a short while, one day he went to the city to purchase some provisions from the shop and that day there was a revival meeting somewhere. He attended the revival meeting and the friend said, "Why go back in the night? Stay here, go back tomorrow." He went the next day and his father scolded him very much.

His name is Das. He scolded him very much. He couldn't bear it. He said, "Why don't you go and kill yourself somewhere?" He took it to heart. He went to a well full of water and people saw him praying and praying near that well and crying, "Lord, take away my life." And he purposely held both his hands at the back. He jumped into the well, drowned himself and now the news came to us.

We were all feeling very sad and so on. After a month or so, a pastor and his wife went to conduct a prayer meeting there. And as they were conducting the prayer meeting, suddenly one lady cried and screamed. So the pastor went, laid his hands upon her and said, "You devil, come out," and she began to cry and she began to speak in the voice of a man. He said, "Pastor, don't you recognize me? I am Das. I'm sorry I killed myself and I'm just roaming about like this. I'm not able to face God. I'm not able to go to hell. I don't want to go to hell. Please permit me to stay in this woman's body and merge with her spirit." Nevertheless, the pastor said, "Get out."

But what I am trying to say this happens and I was in a small town. I was there for four years and every Wednesday evening in a small church they used to have a Bible study. So I also used to go there and sit there and in due course, the elder of the church very much requested me, "Sir, we would like you to do the preaching." When I began to preach, I began to talk especially about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Tremendous crowds began to come every Wednesday evening. All the rounding villagers would be pouring in the bullock carts and their bulldozers, this that. It seems to be a festive day gathering where people came without any difference of caste, creed, and religion. People just come because I used to speak with great love and great compassion and finally pray for the people to get healed.

And thank God everyone who came to be healed would be healed and every demon will be cast out and we worked as a team.

But one day after I left that place, one day that time I used to speak in radio Sri Lanka exactly in the evening at 5:00 to 5.30 for half an hour.

One day in a home they were having this radio program on and suddenly one of the listeners began to scream and we were wondering what happened.

Then somebody said, "Devil, get out." There that man began to speak in a woman's voice and she said, "I am so-and-so and I used to come and listen to Brother Dhinakaran's sermons every Wednesday. I loved it. Because of the problems at home, I hanged myself to death and I'm wondering before the sun sets, please, I beg of you, please allow me to listen to the sermon. Long time since I heard it. Let me listen to the sermon then I will surely go."

They didn't know what to do and my sermon went on and finally, when I prayed the mass prayer, I said, "In the name of Christ, devil, leave this home." She left after crying so much.

So it is from this I learned how much these people who commit suicide, how much their spirits roam about in a restless way.

I went to a place near the border of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. One evening I preached there. The very first evening, I preached about God's love. I preached only about God's love and suddenly I found a big commotion everywhere and everywhere people who were possessed with evil spirits they would come running to the tent and the greatest thing is they would fall one above the other, one above the other and I'd allow them to pile up and accumulate and tell them, "Keep quiet." And they'll keep quiet and finally after everything, after giving a time for the people to get reconciled with God and finally when I say, "Now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you come out." Then they begin to manifest and most of them were possessed with spirits who either burnt themselves, or have committed suicide, or drank poison, or hanged themselves and so on. So it is a very, very sad thing and because they can neither go to God nor hell, they roam about on earth. This is what the Bible says in Matthew 12:43 and 44. It's very sad.
